Quentin X. Quarterback
Who is Quentin X. Quarterback?
Figure skating is doomed to broadcasters who don't know an edge from their elbow. It takes years to mold a baseball hero into Terry Gannon or a football star into Verne Lundquist. What's more, a broadcaster has to respect skating as a sport. We all know how often that happens.
The latest insult, foisted on skating fans was Al Trautwig. Known sometimes as "Fishhair," Trautwig's abominable coverage of the 1998 Olympics got him burned in cyber-effigy on RSSIF and skating message boards around the world.
Thankfully, Karen Frank resident humorist of RSSIF, had a lighter touch than some of the more trollish denizens of RSSIF—that morass of skating fandom—when she invented Quentin X. Quarterback.
Private Ice proudly presents the archives of Quentin X Quarterback. Follow the bumbling football broadcaster as he stumbles through twizzles and toe loops.
You'll laugh your back spin off.
